Ashley Wagner is a German born woman who was born May 16, 1991. During her early teen years, Ashley found herself hanging out with older girls who impacted her self-esteem because she believed they to be more mature and, according to her, prettier than she. Ashley describes herself as an "hot mess" as a teenager. Ashley's mother enrolled her in training to model so she would gain confidence. Ashley started to seriously consider a career as a model. Ashley's mother put her in modeling classes to improve her confidence. After she was advised that she was not a successful model because of her height, Ashley thought about becoming a law student and pursuing a degree in psychology.
